I need a specialist in FFmpeg who confidently works with:
- -filter_complex
- drawtext (multiline text, line breaks, centering)
- overlay (logos / watermarks / additional layers)
I already have a ready automated pipeline (text → images/videos for social media), but now someone needs to:
- Set up and refine FFmpeg templates
- multiple blocks of text on one frame (title + body);
- positioning by percentage of the frame (x, y, “move everything up/down”);
- work with basic color correction, scaling, fps.
- Make commands resilient to any text
- correct escaping of quotes, apostrophes, commas;
- support for Unicode/UTF-8 (long dash, “smart” quotes, etc.);
- so that the command does not fail, even if there are many special characters in the text.
- Gather a couple of universal templates
- for static slides (image + text for carousels);
- for short videos/previews for social media.
What is important from the performer:
- Deep understanding of FFmpeg, especially filter_complex, drawtext, overlay.
- Experience specifically with text on videos/images, not just conversion.
- Attention to detail: noticing if the text is misaligned, does not fit in width, or is broken due to characters.
- Willingness to explain in simple terms what is configured where (minimal documentation for templates).
Goal of the work:
Create several stable, reusable FFmpeg templates for automatic generation of slides and short videos for social media, so that I can simply add text and images to them — without manual editing of commands each time.
