- Languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL
- Frameworks: Vue.js, React
- Other: APIs
- Workflow: Github, Git, LocalWP
- Design: Figma or Sketch
The role is for part time work between 5 to 25 hours per week depending on the project. Some typical tasks may be:
- Create a webpage template from a mockup. Work with design files (Figma), set up template page in Wordpress to dynamically allow us to populate images/copy and create theme templates that are responsive and fast
- Add analytics events. Use a combination of Javascript, Google Tag Manager and HTML to implement tracking of user actions on our website. May also involve implementing Analytics SDKs and retrofitting older pages to track events
- Improve page speed. Lazy load images/video assets on homepage to improve time-to-first-paint and not block page rendering. Be able to benchmark page speed and communicate with team the improvement
- Streamline theme and common css styles to reduce style.css filesize + complexity
- Implement better standardized theme formats and components to make website look more consistent.
- Implement Git system to track Wordpress site changes through Github.
