Integration of lead channels in Odoo CRM (local version)

1. Input Data

• CRM: Odoo (Community Edition), installed locally (self-hosted) from GitHub.

• Access to the CRM is provided through a dedicated server + VPN.

• The company has working domain email accounts.

• It is necessary to automate the receipt of applications without manual addition.

2. Project Goal

Set up automatic integration of incoming applications into Odoo CRM from two sources:

1. Email (incoming mail).

2. Messengers (Telegram and Facebook Messenger).

3. Tasks for the Contractor

A) Mail

• Set up the reception of emails to a dedicated inbox so that each incoming email is automatically created as a Lead in Odoo CRM.

• Implement the ability to attach files (if the client sent an attachment).

• Check the correct display of the name, email, and text of the email in the lead card.

• Set up the return of emails from Odoo (SMTP) on behalf of the domain.

B) Telegram

• Create and connect the company's Telegram bot.

• Set up integration so that each new message in the bot automatically creates a lead in Odoo CRM.

• Add the ability to save the username and message text.

• Optionally: link the chatbot to an already existing CRM user (by phone/email, if it matches).

C) Facebook Messenger

• Connect the company page (Facebook Business).

• Set up receiving messages from Messenger in Odoo CRM.

• Each message should automatically convert into a lead with data (profile name, message text).

• Ensure the ability to respond to the client directly from Odoo or at least see the message history.

4. Security and Infrastructure Requirements

• The integration must work considering the current scheme (access via VPN and dedicated server).

• API keys and tokens must be stored securely (for example, in configuration files outside the code).

• Restrict access by IP (if a public endpoint is required for Telegram/Facebook webhook).

• Set up error logging for the integration.

5. Expected Result

• Automatic creation of leads in the CRM upon receipt of an email or message in Telegram/Facebook.

• All channels must be tested (test emails, test messages).

• A brief user manual (1–2 pages): how to add new inboxes/bots/pages, where to view logs, how to restart the service.

6. Additional

• Consultation on the optimal implementation option (for example, ready-made OCA modules, third-party connectors, or custom scripts via API).

• Assessment of time and cost for implementation for each channel separately.
