We at Dimiroma are just about to kick start an implementation from scratch of a classical information system consisted of a solid DB layer, well encapsulated and finely granular distributed business logic as microservices, that gets very gracefully consumed by a lightweight cool looking UI.

In order to achieve this goal we want to utilize the well established and already proven Java Tech Stack like Hibernate as our ORM framework, Spring as our Services layer implementation and JSF or any of the well established JS frameworks like Angular or React to build best in breed responsive UI that delivers best possible user experience and ease of consumption.

Quality, all the way to the code quality itself, is our primary concern, so we will be playing around a lot with JUnit and Mockito, REST Assured, Selenium and Cucumber to ensure we are delivering the ‘right thing’.

We are big fans of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and will be fully utilizing the best in breed tooling for this purpose in the face of Gradle, Jenkins, Docker and SonarQube.

We also don’t underestimate the unpredicted problems we will be facing at runtime, when our beloved users will consume what we have delivered, so we will pay special attention to logging and monitoring and basically invest as much as possible in observability, by utilizing once again great tools in the face of GrayLog and Grafana.
