Это не разрешение, это размер. А разрешение - это количество точек на дюйм (или на сантиметр, - кто как привык). Если заказчик хочет что-то распечатать, то с этими минимальными техническими подробностями ему бы следовало ознакомиться.
И улучшать при разрешении 72 dpi особо нечего. Без наличия хорошего исходника результат будет недалёк от него. Годится только для использования в качестве изображения для сайта.
