Вам для начала нужно поменять Десктопную версию, а то у вас дизайн 2005 года. Такое как у вас адаптировать даже не имеет смысла.

Зачем? Мобильная версия это не отдельный сайт, это тот же самый сайт. Раньше делались отдельно, сейчас так уже не делают.

Делают отдельно, но в основном Интернет-магазины. Доля планшета очень мала. Просто дизайн уже устарел и нужно делать новый + адаптивный.
