Scope of Work – Core Development & Full Implementation
Project: MAKERY – Art Marketplace with AI Generator
1. Objective
Phase 2 represents the full technical implementation of all components defined and approved in Phase 1 (Discovery & Design).
The scope includes:
• Front-end implementation
• Platform configuration & customization
• Simplified marketplace logic
• AI image generation integration
• Product and catalog structuring
• Artist-related admin logic
• Testing and deployment
The deliverable is a fully working, lightweight, scalable MVP designed for efficient management and future expansion.
2. Technical Principles
• Maximum use of native platform capabilities
• Minimal custom backend development
Excluded from scope:
• Custom machine learning model training
• Complex microservices architecture
• Automated payout engines
• Enterprise-level infrastructure
3. Functional Scope
A. Storefront Implementation
Full implementation of the storefront based on approved design, including:
• Theme setup and customization
• Homepage implementation
• Collection pages
• Product Detail Pages (PDP)
• AI product flow integration
• Navigation structure
• Search configuration
• Cart and checkout flow
• User account functionality (if enabled)
• Blog setup (if included in approved IA)
Includes:
• Basic SEO structure
• Metadata configuration
• Structured data/schema implementation
• Core Web Vitals optimization (lightweight)
• Performance tuning (image optimization, lazy loading, script cleanup)
B. Marketplace (Simplified MVP Model)
This is a lightweight marketplace implementation and does not represent a complex multi-vendor SaaS system.
Includes:
• Artist profile page (name, image, bio, products)
• Linking products to artists via:
– Tags
– Metafields
– Collections
• Artist identification within orders
• Order visibility logic per artist (tagging/reporting based)
Admin-side functionality:
• Adding artists through admin interface
• Assigning products to artists
• Tracking which orders belong to which artist
• Manual payout process (handled outside platform)
Explicitly excluded:
• Automated payout integrations
• Vendor wallet systems
• KYC systems
• Vendor withdrawal dashboards
C. AI Art Generation Module
Separate AI Generator section including:
• Image upload
• Prompt input
• External AI API integration (provider finalized during Phase 1)
• Image processing
• Result preview generation
• Display of generated output
• Option to convert generated image into a purchasable product
User Flow:
Upload → Generate → Preview → Select variation → Add to cart → Checkout
Technical approach:
• API-based integration only
• No custom AI model training
• No ML infrastructure
• Serverless call approach where applicable
• Cost-optimized generation logic
D. Product Catalog Structure
Implementation of three structured product categories:
• Internal products
• Artist products
• AI-generated products
Includes:
• Flexible collection structure
• Filtering logic
• Search across product types
• Clean taxonomy
• Simplified product management system
E. Orders & Commission Logic
• All customer payments processed via existing payment gateway
• Orders tagged to corresponding artist
• Fixed/global commission model
• Artist payouts handled manually
• Reporting used for tracking artist sales
• Optional lightweight reporting tool if required
4. Architecture Overview
• Core platform foundation
• Optimized theme layer
• Marketplace logic implemented via metadata and tagging
• External AI API integration
• Native checkout flow
• Manual payout logic (off-platform)
No custom backend server required unless AI API requires middleware support.
5. Deliverables
Upon completion of Phase 2, the client will receive:
• Fully implemented storefront
• Operational marketplace functionality
• Fully integrated AI generator
• Structured product catalog
• Production deployment
• Tested checkout flow
• Artist attribution logic functioning correctly
• Basic admin guide or walkthrough
• Clean, scalable foundation for future enhancements
6. Explicit Exclusions
The following items are not included in Phase 2 scope:
• Automated payout systems
• Vendor wallet infrastructure
• Dispute management systems
• Loyalty or rewards programs
• Custom PBN algorithm development
• Custom AI model training
• Advanced regulatory compliance frameworks
• Long-term maintenance
• Enterprise SEO campaigns
• Custom admin dashboards
