Set up a server on DigitalOcean
30 USD I have an application that is built into a docker image.
This image contains 2 components and activates the necessary component according to the call parameters:
- web service - a regular web service,
- worker - a process that handles tasks on a schedule or what has been sent from the web service
What needs to be done on the DigitalOcean machine:
Install nginx
Configure ssl certificates and configuration for 2 domains:
• api-dev.domain.com
• api.domain.com
Install Redis: configure security
Install Mysql: optimize and ensure secure remote access
Install Docker
• Run 1 x [docker image with parameters web-service, dev], which will handle requests from api-dev.domain.com
• Run 2 x [docker image with parameters web-service, qa], which will handle requests from api.domain.com
• Run 1 x [docker image with parameters web-service, qa]
Install watchtower - https://github.com/containrrr/watchtower
• Configure watchtower for automatic updates [1 web-service (dev)]
• Configure watchtower for updates on request with WATCHTOWER_HTTP_API_TOKEN for 2 x [docker image with parameters web-service, qa] and 1 x [docker image with parameters web-service, qa]
