Need a strong SEO/technical SEO/strategist for the recovery of a network of flower delivery websites worldwide.

I am looking for an experienced specialist or a team who can deeply understand the issue of a sharp decline in traffic and indexing in a large network of international flower delivery websites, rather than providing template advice.

About the Project

I have been involved in international online flower delivery for over 10 years.

The business model is simple:

• I have partners all over the world: florists, shops, warehouses

• The client finds a website for the required city or country

• Selects a bouquet, places an order, pays

• The order is passed to a local partner in the required city/country

• The partner assembles and delivers the bouquet

Examples: Berlin, Paris, London, Bali, Dubai, New York, etc.

Current Architecture

Over the years, a large network of websites has been built: more than 300 domains, approximately around 350.

The structure is as follows:

• Separate domains for major cities

• Separate domains for some small countries

• Domains are mainly of the type:

  • city + flowers

  • city + flowers + delivery

  • country + flowers

  • country + flowers + delivery

For example, the logic was: a separate website for each region so that it could index itself and bring local organic traffic; for more competitive regions, I supplemented with unique texts.

What Has Been Done on the Websites

Historically, the strategy was maximally simple:

• All websites were copies of each other

• Identical structure

• Identical design

• Identical catalog

• Identical or nearly identical content

• Identical titles and descriptions with the city/country name replaced

• Some websites managed to have unique texts

• All websites operate on WordPress

• Standard SEO settings and plugins were used, without deep separate SEO work for each site

Despite this, the strategy worked well from approximately 2022 to 2026:

• Many websites were in the top 10 Google without active promotion

• Some websites brought stable small traffic

• In total, the entire network provided a good overall volume of traffic and orders

• In low-competition regions, positions were particularly good

• Even in competitive regions, some websites could be in the top ten

The Problem

In recent months, the situation has sharply worsened.

What I observe now:

• Traffic has dropped significantly across all websites

• Positions have fallen almost everywhere or the websites are not visible at all

• Websites have stopped appearing on the first/second page

• Google Analytics / Search Console show a sharp decline in indexing

• Pages have started to fall out of the index en masse

• At the same time, there are no obvious manual actions, security issues, or sanctions

• Visually, it looks like Google algorithmically understood that this is a network of almost identical websites from one company, and this model has stopped working

In other words, there is a feeling that the network has undergone algorithmic reassessment due to:

• duplicate content (there is one site with completely original content that is not found anywhere else, but it has also suffered the same fate; the issue is definitely not only about content)

• doorway / near-duplicate sites

• template structure

• identical architecture

• weak uniqueness between domains

• lack of a clear brand hierarchy

But I need not a “diagnosis at a glance,” but a professional analysis and correction of the traffic situation.

Important Nuance

I also have a main branded website: floritale.com

It was created as the central website of the company, where updates were made, and then these changes were copied to the other websites.

Initially, there was an idea to combine two strategies:

1. one main global brand website with a structure where all cities and countries will be on one site (floritale.com/paris or floritale.com/france/paris)

2. Separate websites for cities and countries so that they index independently and faster as separate projects (I am sure it is easier to promote a separate website dedicated to, for example, Paris, than a page about Paris in the context of a huge single site)

Now I understand that the current model of the network in the form of many almost identical domains no longer works. But I do not know what the correct path is moving forward.

What I Need from the Executor

I need not just an SEO audit “by checklist,” but help in choosing and organizing the further strategy.

I need:

1. Conduct a deep diagnosis of several websites (not all)

To understand what exactly happened:

• Is it really an algorithmic filter / reassessment?

• Is it an issue of indexing, cannibalization, duplicates, poor quality, network structure, or all at once?

• Is there a chance to restore part of the network in its current form?

• What exactly triggered the decline?

2. Evaluate the architecture of the network

Professionally respond to what to do next with such a model:

Possible options:

• Preserve some websites and redesign them

• Keep only the strongest regions

• Transfer everything to one branded domain

• Use one main website + folders / subdomains for cities

• Use a hybrid model

• Make individual websites unique

• Completely abandon most domains

• Transfer some domains to redirects / auxiliary projects

• Create a new network, but based on a different logic

3. Provide a practical recovery plan

I need not a set of general phrases, but a specific plan:

• What to do first

• What to check in Search Console / indexing / crawling / canonical / duplication

• Which websites are worth saving

• Which are not worth saving

• Is it possible to restore traffic at least partially

• What is better to focus on: 1 brand, 20 websites, 50 websites, separate countries, separate cities, etc.
