Technical Task: Processing 120 photos for projects

1. Goal

Prepare 120 high-quality photos (2–4 photos per project) for uploading to the website. The photos must meet aesthetic and technical standards, be optimized for fast loading without loss of quality.

1. Analysis and selection of references:

   • Find 10–15 top projects with quality photos for reference (visual style).
   • Compile references, which can be done directly on PromeAI to which paid access will be provided
   • Main criteria for quality photos:
     • Natural colors and harmonious contrast.
     • Avoid overly bare shots (without details).
     • Exclude shots with overly bright colors or cold shades.

2. Sorting photos:

   • Obtain a folder with all photos sorted by projects.
   • Select 2–4 best angles for each project
   • Filter projects among all those without the FEatured label based on the criteria:
     • Low detail or poor composition.
     • Overly saturated, unnatural colors.
     • Lack of elements that add interest to the composition.

3. Photo processing:

   • Sketch Rendering:
     • For initial analysis of the possibility of changing the photo (composition selection, style).
   • Landscape alteration (if necessary):
     • Add trees, grass, other natural elements if the photo looks "bare".
     • Ensure a natural appearance of all added elements.
   • HD Upscale:
     • Increase the resolution of the photo to obtain clear details.

4. Final processing:

   • Increase sharpness considering the overall balance of quality. This can be done on a MacBook in the viewer
   • Save the optimized version for uploading to the website.

5. Web optimization:

   • Open the photo in Squoosh:
     • Set the photo height to 800 px.
     • Optimize the size to 100–140 KB.
     • Save the photo in .webp format

3. Uploading to the website:

• Log into the WordPress admin panel (instructions will be provided if needed).
• Upload processed photos to the corresponding folders of each project.

4. Result

At the output, we have:

• 120 high-quality photos, adapted to visual requirements.
• Files optimized for fast loading on the website (800 px, 100–140 KB).
• Photos ready for use on the website without additional processing.
