Preparation of the book for printing
100 USD I'm looking for a specialist for typesetting a book.
I have no experience in this area.
There is a manuscript of the book in Word (195 pages in A5 format; 377 thousand characters including spaces. Work on sections, headings, styles, non-printing characters has been done, but it may be necessary to redo/correct something - I do not know the requirements of printing houses for formatting).
The book mainly contains text in Ukrainian, but IT terms are used in English.
The text has no tables or illustrations, there are a few simple formulas (like numbers in powers), which are simply typed in text/style, without using special tools).
The style of the book is artistic, a cyber-philosophical synthesis (attached is an example of what is currently available).
🔹 Goal:
- printing a small circulation "for myself"
- publishing an electronic book on Amazon or Google.
- possibly presenting on Ukrainian marketplaces.
🔹 What needs to be done (in my understanding):
— Typesetting the internal block of the book in InDesign (there are no requirements from the printing house yet, I have not decided).
— Checking and, if necessary, finalizing sections, headings, footers, page numbering.
— Preparing a PDF file for printing
— Designing the cover (probably not a drawing, but I have not decided yet).
