Cover
- The front cover contains text/graphics that extend beyond the trim line and may be cut off during production. Please make sure that all elements intended to be viewable appear at least 0.716in (18.175mm) away from the outside edges. All front cover text must also stop at least 0.4in (10mm) away from the edge of the spine.
Interior
- Add 0.125" (3.2 mm) to your book's page width and 0.25" (6.4 mm) to the page height to ensure that the images in your manuscript extend beyond the edge of the page. Once you have added the size, extend any images or backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. This prevents manufacturing issues when the file is trimmed to size. See examples PDF page(s) 1 - 5, 65 - 68. Watch our video, which explains trim size, margins, and bleed.
- Increase your outside margins so that content isn't trimmed when your book is printed. The outside, top, and bottom margin requirements are 0.25" (6.35mm) for books without bleed and 0.375" (9.52mm) for books with bleed. See examples on PDF page(s) 67.
