Project: Development of a leather cigar holder
1. Task
Develop a new designer version of a leather cigar holder, which will be used for transporting and storing cigars. The goal of the work is to create sketches that can be passed on to our technician for sample production.
2. Target Audience
Our product is aimed at two main user groups:
- Men, Americans, who enjoy smoking cigars and constantly carry them with them.
- American bikers who enjoy cigars
Most of our purchases are made by these people as gifts. We offer personalization (embossing initials or wishes like Ride safe)
3. Design Requirements
- Style: Minimalistic, but with taste and style.
- Space on the product, possibly a separate detail - where embossing with initials would look beautiful.
- Design options:
- First option for a wider audience.
- Second option for a narrow audience of purely American bikers.
- Presentation format: Sketches for internal use in the company. Visualizations should not be intended for public space, but only for understanding and further production.
4. Sketch Requirements
- Clear and understandable product images from the main 2 perspectives (closed, open).
- Images of main details and features of the holder.
- Recommendations regarding materials and colors (leather, hardware).
- Consideration of the target audience's characteristics in the design of each variant.
5. Evaluation of Successful Result
Successful result will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Compliance of sketches with the specified requirements.
- Quality and detailing of sketches.
- Alignment of design style with the needs of the target audience.
- Ability to pass on sketches to the technician for further production without additional changes.
6. Additional Materials
- Photo of the existing product (will be provided separately).
- Any additional requirements or wishes will be provided during the work process.
