Requirements
For 2D direction: Any graphic file format, with the final image size not less than 1920 pixels on the shorter side;
For 3D direction: render file - main image (render, beauty shot) sized 1920 pixels on the shorter side.
Task
Create an artwork in 2D or 3D format, interpreting what Kazakhstan might look like in the future. The works should reflect a combination of national culture and colorfulness with a futuristic future, as well as unusual and creative interpretations of this theme. It is encouraged to include elements that characterize the activities of Astana Hub and themes of IT and game development.
Technical assignment
2D direction
General requirements:
Create a complete narrative illustration reflecting the contestant's vision of what Kazakhstan of the future would look like;
The work must be done in color with an emphasis on details and composition;
The illustration may include elements and references to Mytona games;
Technical requirements:
Work format: any, with the final image size not less than 1920 pixels on the shorter side;
The work must be created in one of the raster graphic editors (Photoshop, Procreate, etc.);
Use of photobashing and AI tools is prohibited. Use of photos, videos, and other materials is allowed only as references. If this rule is violated, the work will not be evaluated;
It is necessary to attach 2-4 stages of the work process (wip) and several sketches grouped into one image.
3D direction
General requirements:
Create a 3D illustration or scene reflecting the contestant's vision of what Kazakhstan of the future would look like;
The illustration may include elements and references to Mytona games;
Use of animation (if appropriate) to create atmosphere is allowed;
Technical requirements:
Render file: main image (render, beauty shot, demo reel) sized 1920 pixels on the shorter side;
Polygon count is not limited. Any number of textures can be used;
Minor post-processing is allowed, but no additional drawings;
Show the character or environmental elements in an interesting pose or consist of several angles (main image from the front view, additional: from the left and right sides);
It is necessary to attach technical images: screenshots of the mesh, close-ups of interesting details, and others;
Use of photobashing and AI tools is prohibited. Use of photos, videos, and other materials is allowed only as references. If this rule is violated, the work will not be evaluated.
Submitted works must not:
- contain images of people or information about them without their consent;
- violate moral or ethical principles and laws;
- infringe on the rights or legitimate interests of third parties, including but not limited to trademark rights, copyright, related rights, and privacy;
- contain defamatory, illegal, offensive, or politically sensitive elements;
- promote harmful environmental practices or negative social impact;
- contain violence;
- directly imitate the styles of existing artists (combinations and inspiring styles are allowed).
Submitted works must be respectful and considerate of all cultures, communities, and people.
