Website catalog for wholesale clients on OpenCart
1. Project Meta
Create a closed-to-indexing website catalog for wholesale clients with the ability to:
View the current product assortment.
Place orders without online payment.
Automatically update prices and stock levels from XML (once a day).
Display products with the same photo but different article numbers, sizes, prices, and availability in one block in the form of a table.
2. Main Requirements
2.1. Site Confidentiality
Prohibit indexing in search engines:
robots.txt:makefile
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">on all pages.
Access to the site via direct link (without authorization).
2.2. Catalog Structure and Product Display
Display products in category as a list, each block — one photo + table with variations.
In the table, each row = a separate article:
Product code (article)
Size
Current availability
Price
"Add to cart" button
Photo is displayed once for the group (same photo for multiple articles).
"Add to cart" button works separately for each row (different sizes can be ordered from one frame).

2.3. Product Grouping
Possible implementation options (choose the most convenient for XML import):
Option 1: Each size = a separate product in the database. Additional field "Group" (or parent_id) to combine into blocks by photo.
Option 2: One "parent" product with "Size" options (each option has its own article, price, stock) and a modified template for display as a table.
2.4. Data Import and Update
Source: dynamic XML file from CRM (link will be provided).
Update once a day (via CRON).
By article importer:
Update price.
Update stock level.
If the article is missing in XML → stock = 0.
If a new product appears in XML → create it automatically in the specified category or mark as draft.
2.5. Orders
The cart works without online payment and delivery selection.
Mandatory fields when placing an order:
Name
Phone
Orders are displayed in the admin panel with all data:
Article
Size
Quantity
Price at the time of order
Ability to add a customer comment to the order (optional field).
2.6. Design and Responsiveness
Minimalist design, main focus on convenience for quick ordering.
Responsive layout:
On mobile devices, the table transforms into a vertical list of blocks (each size = a separate row with photo on top).
Ability for quick search by article.
3. Technical Details
CMS: OpenCart (latest stable version or 3.x, as agreed).
Template: can use the basic one with customization or a simple premium template.
Site language: Ukrainian (ability to add other languages).
Currency: hryvnia.
Product categories: set manually in the admin panel.
4. Expected Result
The site operates stably on hosting.
All products are displayed as one block = one photo + table with options.
Prices and stock levels are updated automatically from XML.
Orders are sent to the admin panel with the required data.
The site is not indexed by search engines.
The catalog is user-friendly on mobile phones.

The main difficulty, in my opinion
is to implement the display of products in the category
where for one photo - it should immediately display the article numbers, sizes, prices, and an add to cart button
