Структура провода даётся текстурой. Надеюсь, вы не собираетесь её задавать в твердотеле (это абсолютно бессмысленно)?..

Хотя если просто провода смоделировать - легко (не тканевую часть - это текстура).

Это пластик) Обертка пластиковая) Есть такие же, но тканевые. Сами провода без текстуры смоделировать легко, это я понимаю

Пластик или ткань - все равно.... такое проще сделать текстурами, чем геометрией.

Провода планируются разных цветов и сфотографированы/смоделированы с разных ракурсов. И мне показалось, что 3D сделать будет проще. Раз сделал и меняй сиди как хочешь. А фотографу нужно будет денежку платить постоянно

Наверно, не ошибусь, если скажу, что сейчас уже больше 50% "фото" на Амазоне или там АлиЭкспрессе - именно модели.

Выскажусь как фотограф. Это правильно решение моделировать. Так вы получите намного более качественную и красивую картинку. А также они будут смотреться едино в общей плитке товаров.
