I am looking for an SEO specialist who can help resolve the issue with my site's indexing in Google. I am ready to provide access to Google Search Console and Webflow for a more detailed analysis.
Google is choosing the wrong canonical address for indexing — not the one I specified, but the one where the site was originally published (Webflow). Because of this, the site on the new domain is not being indexed.
Google Search Console indicates that the canonical URL chosen by Google is missing from the resource, which is actually a good sign because I have already un-published the site on the old domain, and the site is now published on the new custom domain. I do not want the old address to be indexed, but the problem is that Google continues to choose the old address, even though it is no longer available to search engines.
