Since December 2025, the website spraachen.kiev.ua has "declined" in Google's rankings, especially for Ukrainian-language queries.
I am not a professional SEO specialist, but I have been "managing" the site since the 2000s (optimization in Search Console and on-site, purchasing posts, etc.) and I have a good understanding of the basic principles (the site has consistently been in the top 3 for key queries). 8559 26 0 1 Good day. According to the graph in Search Console, the drop started sharply in December — this often coincides either with a Core Update or with a change in intent in the search results. In such cases, I first look not at "general SEO," but at specific things: which pages lost impressions, which queries dropped the most, and whether new types of pages (aggregators, catalogs, Google AI responses) appeared in the results.
I will also separately check if there has been a blurring of relevance between the Ukrainian and Russian versions of the website: Google sometimes starts showing the "wrong" language page, which causes positions and CTR to drop.
I will analyze the data from Search Console (pages → queries → position changes), check the index and the structure of the results, after which I will provide a specific list of corrections that can actually restore positions, rather than a general SEO audit.

1075 6 0 Good day! Since you have been running the website since the 2000s and maintained a top position until December 2025, the resource's database is excellent, but right now you are facing the cumulative effect of several Google updates.
December 2025 is the period when Google finally refined the Helpful Content and Spam Update algorithms, which critically impact older websites.
Most likely, your Ukrainian version was implemented later or was less effectively "enhanced" with content than the Russian one. Here are 4 "non-obvious" reasons for the drop:
1. The "Legacy" content crisis (HQC vs Helpful Content)
- Websites from the 2000s often suffer from a structure of "text for the sake of keywords." In 2025-2026, Google learned to understand Intent. If your Ukrainian articles are translations of old texts with a keyword density of 3-5%, the algorithm classifies them as "unhelpful."
- Advice: Check the Bounce Rate specifically on UA pages. If people enter and leave immediately, Google understands that the answer is not relevant.

2. Hreflang and canonicalization issues
- Old CMS often incorrectly deliver rel="alternate" hreflang="uk-ua" tags. If Google sees confusion in mirrors or considers one version a "duplicate" of another, it penalizes the one with a weaker link profile (usually the Ukrainian one).
- Advice: Check in Search Console the report "Indexing" -> "Page is a duplicate." Did Google select the Russian page as canonical for Ukrainian queries?
3. Link "echo" (Link Decay)
- Buying posts that worked 5-10 years ago may now play against you. Google updated SpamBrain in December. If your link profile consists of "evergreen links" from spammy donors (exchanges like Miralinks/Gogetlinks), their weight has been nullified or inverted negatively.
- Advice: Check in Ahrefs/Semrush the share of Toxic Links. It is better to have 10 links from live Ukrainian media than 1000 from "exchange" sites.
4. Technical debt and Core Web Vitals (INP)
- In 2024-2025, the INP (Interaction to Next Paint) metric became critical. Old websites with a clutter of scripts or unoptimized course registration forms often "fail" this test.
- Advice: Look in GSC at the section "Core Web Vitals."

What is needed here is not advice, but an audit.
And even based on the audit, there is no guarantee that one reason can be identified.
Most likely, there is a complex of reasons/problems.
The advantage of your website is its age.
… But even a cursory glance shows a lot of problems:
- semantics are incorrectly distributed. There are identical or similar tags on different pages;
- a UX/UI audit of the design is needed;
- low DR indicator, considering the number of links and age. I have websites with a similar number where the DR is 5-10 times higher, and the website is 5 years old, not 20;
- spammy anchor list ("online German language courses" and "German language courses" in the same text);
- selection of platforms is questionable;
- etc.
You need to conduct an audit and involve a specialist in promotion.
There is a likelihood that the website will continue to decline if Google considers it to be of lower quality than competitors.

Честно говоря, без обид ни в коем случае, но удивительно что этот сайт вообще занимал ТОП а не то что он просел.
- Боковое меню реализованное картинками с текстом
- На страницах основной заголовок Н2 а Н1 нет и вовсе
- Полное отсутсвие структуры подачи текста и контента и логики их оформления
- Укр версии сайта на сайте я вообще не нашел
