чому одразу не можна малювати 2д-персонажів в 2д? 🤔 мова про overpaint?
бо зараз звучить приблизно як "для видобутку цегли треба побудувати будинок (щоб з нього цеглу і видобувати)" 🙂

Я не професійний ілюстратор і не можу знати нюансів, але, наскільки мені відомо, якщо потрібно відмалювати 15 різних сцен із персонажем, простіше зробити 3D-модель, якій задають потім різні сценарії та емоції, після чого рендерують і домальовують 2D, ніж із нуля малювати кожну сцену в 2D. Можу помилятися, але так працюють багато хто.

просто здається це зайва робота і вам зайві гроші. на мій погляд простіше було б гарному художнику одразу робити з ескізу повноцінний малюнок.
але така техніка є і вам видніше як буде зручно і простіше.

Професійний ілюстратор, який малював цей малюнок сам, порадив нам спочатку зробити 3D модель для відтворення сцен, тому що якісне замалювання 2х сцен приблизно займатиме стільки ж часу, як створення 1 моделі в 3D.

просто інколи в 2д простіше зобразити те, що має бути в 3д...або навіть в 3д неможливо зробити, те що в 2Д робиться (умовно) тьома штрихами...це теж потрібно враховувати
