She held it tightly in her hand when she was dialing you." "Let's go, we need to say goodbye," she tells Jack. He puts the documents in his briefcase, the mobile in his pocket. The cemetery. The funeral home for the farewell. An open coffin, in it is the elderly mom. Jack gently runs his hand over his mom's hands folded on her chest. "I'm sorry," he whispers quietly, "I'm sorry, if you can forgive me." Then he takes mom's phone and places it in the coffin. The lid closes. Evening. The return journey home. The sun again blinds his eyes, but this time it evokes no memories... Underground parking. Elevator. 27th floor. The hallway of the apartment. "Amanda," he says to his wife, "please make the bed for me in my office."
