22 USD Essence of the test task
It is necessary to visualize one building/location (of your choice: café, hotel, business center) in isometry, using a sketching style. It should show the contrast:
Real world: A beautiful, well-maintained building, detailed in color, coziness, and quality.
Digital world (reflection or projection): The same building, but looking worse. In the digital space, it has "cracks" on the facade, dull colors, a low rating (for example, 3.5 stars), negative review icons.
Goal: To convey the idea that huge investments in physical business are devalued by poor representation online.
Requirements for the performer
Portfolio: Experience in illustration and sketching is mandatory. Understanding of composition and typography.
Working with AI: We welcome the use of AI tools to speed up work, BUT only with deep manual refinement. The result should not look like a "raw" prompt. We value the author's touch, logic in details, and the ability to correct artifacts from neural networks.
Creativity: The ability not just to draw from a list, but to propose a metaphor or presentation method that will catch the client's eye.
Format: At your discretion
Future global task after the test:
We are interested in creating an audit bulletin for physical mailing:
- Our goal: to turn a dry report on the client's business status into an engaging visual journey
- Style: naturalistic sketching, "live" lines, watercolor or ink accents
- Design task: to visualize the "path" of the audit. It should be a map, a "fairy tale," or a study where data intertwines with graphics, arrows, margin notes, and possibly a guiding character (mascot)
- Tone: expert, yet creative and appealing
