Deploy ASP.NET Classic site using WebDeploy on a virtual machine.
To do this, use the Publish command in the project context menu.
Create a database in SQL Server Management Studio and grant permissions to 'IIS AppPool\<site name>'
Change the connection string to the server and deploy the site again.
Check that user registration works.
Look in the database to see that the user has been created.

Create in Visual Studio and deploy ASP.NET Core application to a new IIS site. The version of ASP.NET Core must match exactly, as the deployment package does not contain ASP.NET Core libraries. They come with the .NET Core runtime.

Create a database for the Core site and grant access to it from IIS. The instructions for ASP.NET Core may differ.
Make sure the site starts without restarting the server (you need to restart IIS and another service so that IIS picks up the Hosting Bundle, search online).
Result – screenshots with open ports (Defender and Azure), a screenshot with the site in the browser on the local PC running from the server. If without restarting the server, then a screenshot of the dedicated services that were restarted.
