Warehouse Management System (WMS) Developer / Java and .Net Developer

OpticsPlanet is seeking a full-time Warehouse Management System (WMS) Developer, who will be responsible for development of Radio Frequency (RF) guns in Java and GUI/Web applications in .NET within our SQL Server environment. The ideal candidate should have background in working with RedPrairie WMS (currently called JDA WMS) or any other major WMS. Must be willing to be flexible with work hours and with priorities as they change rapidly in our dynamic fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, development, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the Supply Chain Applications including RedPrairie warehouse management system.
- Design and develop MOCA/SQL commands, GUI/Web screens in .NET and Java, reports in iReport, warehouse configuration.
- Program, implement, and test a collection of new modifications and standard functionalities
- Debug and resolve a variety of issues (bugs, performance, and user) by reading through trace files
- Write functional analysis documents, technical design documents and manuals
- Proven experience in life cycle application development with the ability to generate application development policies, standards and procedures
- Develop utilities, procedures, and documentation upon customer requirements
- Maintain application release control (version control)
- Application installation and upgrade, including third party integration and configuration
- Working with varying software development and deployment packages, Radio Frequency Terminals, Label Printers would be a plus
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in Java and .NET as a programmer analyst, with RedPrairie Warehouse Management or other major Warehouse Management System experience
- Programming languages, relational databases, web tools, client-server graphical user interface (GUI), SQL, and Windows technologies
- Java, VB.net, .NET, SQL, SQL Server
- Experience with RedPrairie applications and the MOCA language
- Able to work effectively both alone and in team/cooperative development efforts
- Able to learn Supply Chain concepts and progress in technical and general business skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a multitasking environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Read/write in English at medium level at least
