Request for assistance in developing a universal parametric solution for decorative-protective overlays
Medical 3D printing laboratory MED3DRUK specializes in creating custom rehabilitation solutions for individuals with amputations. One of our key areas of work is manufacturing decorative protective overlays for prostheses, which not only improve aesthetics but also promote social adaptation and psychological comfort for veterans, patients, and people with disabilities.
Currently, we are working on automating the process of creating universal 3D models of overlays that can be easily adapted to individual parameters. Therefore, we are seeking technical support or partnership in developing a parametric solution that will enable:
quickly change geometric parameters (height, width, volume),
automatically split the model into two parts for convenient printing and assembly,
embed connecting elements,
modify the external design of the overlay (pattern, texture, decorative elements) considering user preferences or using ready-made templates.
This solution will significantly accelerate and simplify the process of manufacturing overlays, making it more accessible and scalable.
We are looking for specialists, enthusiasts, or organizations with experience in:
parametric modeling in CAD environments (Fusion 360, FreeCAD, SolidWorks),
automating model creation (scripts, templates),
integrating design into technical models for 3D printing.
