TASK DESCRIPTION
———————————
I am looking for a sound engineer / sound designer to compile an audio track for the Reels of a Ukrainian educational project on the topic of stress and emotional regulation.
This is NOT a commercial. The tone should be lively, deep, and natural. No pomp, no news anchor voice, no aggressive buildup.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
———————————
Animated Reels: a person unravels a ball of yarn from their head and lets it go — as a metaphor for releasing stress.
The sound should guide the listener through three stages:
1. Tension and anxiety.
2. Awareness.
3. Relief and inner peace.
The transition between stages should be smooth. The finale should be a "resolution," not a "course advertisement."
REFERENCE
———————————
Tapolsky "I'm fine" — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JxAis_v2mw
What we take from it:
— real people share their stories, voices layered over music with the appropriate mood;
— no advertising tone, with gradual buildup and a soft resolution at the end;
— music supports the voices, rather than overpowering them.
Music style: minimalist ambient / light electronic / space / air.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE
———————————
1. Compile the final audio track for Reels lasting [SPECIFY HERE — for example 60–90 seconds].
2. Create 1–2 short versions of 15–30 seconds for Stories (one by editing the main version).
3. If necessary — re-record fragments that are missing from the participants' recordings, ensuring they sound natural (not like a narrator, but like a real person). If you have performers who can re-record in Ukrainian in the desired manner — that’s a big plus.
4. Select or compose a musical foundation for a three-part structure (tension → awareness → calm).
5. Clean up the voices, basic restoration, balance, mastering to social media levels (LUFS for Instagram).
6. Up to 2 rounds of revisions after the first edit.
WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE ON OUR SIDE
———————————
— Part of the voice recordings from course participants. These are not voice actors — these are real people.
— A ready list of phrases in Ukrainian (about 15–20 short sentences about stress, anxiety, changes after the course, calm). I will send it immediately after the response, along with the audio files.
— Animated video sequence — status [ready / in progress — SPECIFY HERE].
— Approximate timing for phrases at the stages.
WHAT NOT TO DO
———————————
— Do not write texts — they are ready.
— Do not create animation — it is done separately.
— Do not present a "sales" tone of a narrator. If your portfolio mainly consists of commercial voiceovers — this is not your project.
STYLE AND ATMOSPHERE — IN SHORT
———————————
Allowed — air, soft low tones, quiet electronics, breathing, pause, space.
Not allowed — glossy strings "for hope," motion graphics-music from libraries for 30 seconds, buildup drums like in trailers.
TIMELINES
———————————
Start — immediately after agreement.
First edit for review — [SPECIFY HERE — for example May 25, 2026].
Final — [SPECIFY HERE — for example by May 28, 2026].
The deadline is strict: we have a fixed launch date of June 1, 2026. Postponement is not possible.
