Technical Assignment (TA) for the Development of 3D Chests and Animations
Project: Development of 3D animations of chests for a website on React/Next.js
Deadline: 1.5 weeks
1. Task Description
Create 5-6 variants of cartoonish 3D chests with animations for integration into the website. Each model should have 2 types of opening animations with three states (closed, opening, open). Animations should be optimized for WebGL to ensure high performance on mobile devices.
2. Requirements for 3D Models
• Quantity: 5-6 unique chests
• Style: Cartoonish, bright, and appealing
• Differences: Color, textures, small details
• Optimization: Low-polygon models, compressed textures (JPEG/PNG)
• Format: GLTF/GLB
3. Requirements for Animations
• Types of animations: 2 opening variants
• States: 3 states (closed, opening, open)
• Characteristics: Smooth transitions, interactive control (click, hover)
• Consistency: Main movements are similar, differences in visual effects
• Optimization: Minimal number of keyframes
4. Technical Requirements
• Compatibility: Work with WebGL via Three.js or Babylon.js
• Integration: Easily integrable into React/Next.js using React Three Fiber or react-babylonjs
• Tools: Blender is recommended for modeling and exporting
5. Additional Requirements
• Concepts: Refinement of existing or creation of new ones that match the cartoon style
• Experience: Understanding of working with WebGL and optimizing 3D objects for the web
Note: All work must be completed within the specified deadlines with consideration for web optimization and compatibility with the chosen technologies.
