It is necessary to rewrite the work for stage performance (minimize the author's words, convert everything into dialogues, etc.) The original work contains 33 pages. Naturally, most of it needs to be omitted (framing, the part where urban life is described...) Ideally, it should result in a 20-40 minute performance with a minimal number of scene changes.

Dialogues: Should be concise. It is necessary to preserve the authentic lexicon of Antonenko-Davydovych.
Stage Directions: Should include descriptions of the psychological state of the characters (pauses, gestures, changes in intonation).
The work is not complete. Some parts will need to be omitted. Focus on the mother's deathbed will and the climactic "break" with new acquaintances.
