Database + Webapp development
The project implies development of PostgreSQL database and the Back-end part in Python. Important task is handling of MS Excel data and integration of it into SQL database.
The base of the Application will be a SQL database containing all the above mentioned data. The web front-end will allow following functions:
- data upload – the source data (such as new units, load scenarios etc.) will be uploaded to the Application from their respective sources,
- data consolidation and aggregation – the uploaded data will be checked, consolidated and aggregated by using pre-defined rules
- data download – upon request, a specified subset of the data will be downloaded by users to get the source data for their simulations,
- format conversions – the uploaded or downloaded data will be converted between the user-convenient format (usually Excel XLSX format, XML or CSV formats etc.) and structured format of the SQL data
- status indication – database contents reports, number of input/output tasks, errors, logs.
