Technical assignment
1. General information
It is necessary to develop two separate sets of corporate printing for two companies registered in Poland and Ukraine.
For each company, it is necessary to create: a business card; A4 letterhead; A4 document folder; a branded envelope. The overall result of the work is two complete sets of corporate printing (a total of 8 layouts).
2. Output materials
The client provides: logos of both companies in vector format; color and monochrome versions of the logos; corporate colors; text information for business cards and other media. 3. Project concept
Both companies belong to one owner and are part of one business group.
Each company has its own name, logo, and corporate colors, so each set of printing must have its own character and be easily identifiable as a separate brand.
At the same time, there should be a unified design concept between the sets.
It is desirable that the following be common: the principle of layout construction; composition; graphic language; typography; use of white space; overall character of the style. It is unacceptable for the sets to be executed in fundamentally different design styles. They must have a common stylistic foundation and be perceived as works of one designer for two companies of one business group.
4. General style requirements
Desired style: modern; international; professional; restrained; premium; B2B-oriented. The design should create an impression of reliability, competence, and international level of the companies.
Preference is given to clean compositional solutions, modern typography, and design that will remain relevant for many years.
5. Work stages
The work is carried out in two stages.
Stage 1. Concept development
The designer develops and presents three different conceptual design options that demonstrate the overall style of the future corporate printing for both companies.
The concepts should differ in design approach, but each of them must meet the requirements of this technical assignment and reflect the idea of related brands of one business group.
For the presentation of the concept, it is sufficient to show the design of one or several key media (for example, a business card and letterhead) for both companies.
After the presentation of the concepts, the client selects one of them for further refinement.
Stage 2. Development of final layouts
After agreeing on the selected concept, the designer makes the necessary changes according to the client's comments and develops a complete set of corporate printing for both companies.
6. Technical requirements
Formats
Business card
Format 85 × 55 mm.
Main option — single-sided design. The reverse side remains clean (without solid fill and graphic elements) so that handwritten notes can be made on it. The designer must provide for the possibility of creating a double-sided version without changing the overall concept.
Letterhead
A4 format.
Document folder
A4 format (for standard die-cutting stamp of the printing house).
Envelope
DL (220 × 110 mm)
Layout requirements
Layouts must be prepared for professional offset and digital printing.
Mandatory requirements: color model CMYK; resolution of raster elements — 300 dpi; bleeds — 3 mm; safe zone — at least 5 mm; all fonts must be provided separately or converted to outlines. Files to be provided
For each layout, it is necessary to provide: source editable file (Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign); print-ready PDF; EPS or SVG (if necessary); JPEG or PNG for viewing. Working with logos
Logos are used without changing proportions, colors, and other elements of the corporate style.
Any changes are allowed only after written approval from the client.
Mini style guide
Together with the final layouts, it is necessary to prepare a short document (1–2 pages) that contains: corporate colors (CMYK, RGB, HEX); fonts used; rules for using logos (protection area, minimum size); description of additional graphic elements (if any). Presentation of the result
The final design should preferably be presented not only as separate layouts but also in the form of realistic mockups.
It is also desirable to show the printing of both companies side by side to evaluate how well they correspond to the concept of related brands and have a unified design language.
Number of revisions
After the presentation of the three concepts, the client selects one of them for further work.
The cost of the project includes: refinement of the selected concept according to the client's comments; at least two rounds of revisions after the presentation of the first complete version of the corporate printing sets. Transfer of rights
After full payment, all exclusive property rights to the created layouts are transferred to the client.
The client receives the right to use, print, edit, adapt, and scale the created design for any printed and digital media without any restrictions.
Expected result
As a result of the work, the client receives: two completed sets of corporate printing (a total of 8 layouts); all source files; print-ready PDFs; viewing files (JPEG/PNG); a mini guide for using the corporate style; presentation mockups. All materials must be fully ready for professional printing and further use without the need for additional refinement.
