Fixing bugs in the Python script
We have a Python script that creates a daily estimate for our online store. It has been working for several months, and recently some bugs have appeared. Unfortunately, our programmer has been hospitalized and it is unclear when he will be able to continue working, so we are looking for someone who can help fix them.
We have a database, a dashboard, and a Telegram bot where you can view the estimate. The script takes orders from Baselinker and advertising costs from Facebook.
What needs to be done:
- Do not change the code structure, as it was written by our programmer, and he will return to work after recovery.
- Fix the bug with advertising costs. Explanation: one of the tasks of the script is to take daily costs from the Facebook account where the ads are running, pass them via API to the online converter, and enter them into the database in the currency of zloty (initially in dollars on Facebook). In the estimate for 02.22, the advertising costs showed 0 PLN, and since then the daily advertising costs have been 0 (everything was displayed correctly before 02.22), the online converter shows API usage 0/100, there may be a problem with it. This needs to be fixed and the costs for the missing days need to be entered into the database so that the monthly estimate is accurate.
- Enter into the database the orders that were missed. Explanation: there were dates when the script simply did not take some orders into account, for example, on one day there were 10 orders, but the script counted 7. I will provide the dates when the number of orders was incorrectly counted, as well as the numbers of all orders from that day; the missing ones need to be entered into the database so that the monthly estimate is accurate. It will also be necessary to find out the reason for this behavior and eliminate it.
- I also noticed today that the bot in Telegram does not respond to commands (I last checked the day before yesterday, everything was working), it is also necessary to find out the reason and fix it.
