We need a person who has already worked with Shopify and knows how everything is arranged there
We have an electronics online store, and we are currently making translations for it into different languages for testing traffic flows to various geos.
We perform translations using an application that allows automatic translation of the entire site with OpenAI's neural network. It translates quite well, but our site is technically quite complex, and such translations often affect elements that should not be translated, whether it is product names, variables that create certain elements on the site, or some elements like 3rd party apps that are not translated at all.
After each automatic translation, it is necessary to go through the site and correct translations in all needed places. Corrections are also made using the neural network, so knowing the language you are translating into is not mandatory.
For a clearer understanding of the task, here is an example:

As you may notice, the icons above the text, which look nice in the translation, were replaced by unreadable symbols. This happened because the neural network translated variables responsible for these icons:
To fix this, we just need to remove translations for these variables:
After that, all these icons will display correctly:
Additionally, it will be necessary to change texts in some places, for example, in the original language for the local market, we provide cash on delivery, and we mention this in some parts of the site. But for international delivery, we cannot offer cash on delivery, so we need to replace the text in those places with another that does not refer to cash on delivery.
In summary, the tasks will be:
- Remove translations of key variables
- Change translations where there are discrepancies between local and international markets (using neural network)
- Translate third-party applications (inside the applications themselves, using neural network)
- Check that product names have not been translated
We will provide a checklist of specific places where adjustments are needed.
