- accepts two lengths of boxes (200 mm and 380 mm, width always 200 mm)
- has height adjustment (sinking by 50 mm)
- provides positioning in XY and Z
- presses only from the sides (ends) – without top clamping
- allows milling from both the face and the edge
- enables leveling of the lid even if the hinges/screws "pull" it sideways
- made of MDF or plywood, and the clamps are metal, + soft padding (to avoid scratching the box)

Technical specification: universal milling cassette for boxes
1. Dimensions / types of workpieces

Both boxes have a protruding lid,
which sinks by 50 mm when installed in the cassette
(i.e., 10 mm remains on the surface of the cassette — this is the area of the lid that will be milled).
2. Clamping / fixation
- Clamping only from the ends (sides), without top clamping
- Uses eccentric clamps integrated into the cassette body
- Clamping zone — at a height of 35–45 mm (i.e., in the lid area)
- For 200 mm and 380 mm lengths, the same eccentrics are used, positioned in a universal position inside the long side
- Clamping from the other long side is a fixture (parallel side)
The long box (380 mm) is clamped:
at two points along Y + one point along X (end)
The short box (200 mm) is clamped at the same points (eccentrics + end stop)
3. Positioning in Z
- The box is lowered into the cassette by 50 mm
- The lower level of the cassette serves as a reference plane
- In the cassette, provide points for placing foil/paper (0.1–0.4 mm) → for correcting the plane if the lid is not parallel due to the hinge/screw
- If desired, screw micro-lifters or pockets for pads can be implemented in the 4 corners of the cassette

5. Additional groove for edge milling:
- in the 4th (end) side of the cassette, create a separate groove
→ allows the box to be placed on the end to raise Z to full height (~200 mm) and mill along the edge - In this mode, the clamps must also work from the side, so the eccentrics must be positioned higher.
