Basic configuration rules:
Providers:
- Provider 1 is connected via port WAN2 (Ether2) — we call it datagroup.
- Provider 2 is connected via port SFP.
Traffic distribution:
- All traffic must go through datagroup (port WAN2).
- Gaming services (PlayStation, EA Games, Wargaming, Epic Games, Steam, etc.) and video services (Netflix, Megogo, Torrents, Filmix, etc.) should go through SFP.
Automatic failover:
- If one of the providers disconnects, traffic is automatically redirected through the second provider.
Connection through port Ether1:
- The cable going through port Ether1 will provide internet to the apartment and simultaneously power the router (PoE in).
Connection through port Ether5:
- Port Ether5 will connect another router, transmit internet, and provide power through PoE out.
DNS settings:
- DNS servers to be used:
8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4,1.1.1.1
- DNS servers to be used:
Settings for providers:
- No settings are needed for providers: all IP addresses and other parameters are assigned automatically by the providers.
Summary:
- The configuration must ensure traffic balancing between two providers, automatic switching to a backup provider in case one of them disconnects, and internet delivery to the apartment via PoE on port Ether1.
