Need a designer/assistant
Project essence. We are creating a B2B platform and data collection system for marine vessels. The main problem is that on ships, the internet is either very poor or completely unavailable. Therefore, the interface must be able to work offline, and when a connection is available, it should automatically synchronize data with the shore.
What specifically needs to be designed.
First. The interface on the ship for the captain. This is a marketplace for spare parts. The captain browses the catalog, collects a cart, and clicks to request prices. There needs to be a mandatory checkbox indicating that this is not a tender to filter out junk requests. The captain does all this offline.
Second. The admin panel in the office on shore. Here, requests from ships and telemetry data from sensors arrive. The manager sees a list of requests and distributes them to suppliers. Dashboards with statistics on the most requested brands, seasonality, graphs, ship ratings, and online or offline statuses are also needed.
Third. The interface for suppliers. We do not create complex personal accounts with passwords for them. The supplier receives an email, clicks on a link, and a very simple temporary page opens. There is just a table with the necessary spare parts, empty fields for entering prices and deadlines, and one large submit button. The interface must be extremely simple and convenient for mobile devices so they can enter a couple of numbers on the go and close the page.
Fourth. The rating system. In the admin panel, we need to think about how to visually display the scoring, the supplier's rating from 0 to 100 points, so that the manager immediately understands who is reliable and who is a newcomer when making a choice.
Overall vibe. Strict corporate marine B2B sector. Clear tables, large buttons, understandable graphs, and request statuses. Emphasis on convenience and speed of work.

In terms of timelines, I would estimate 10-14 working days for the first stage - a map of user scenarios, screen structure, clickable prototype, and visual style of key parts. Regarding the budget - 60,000 UAH for this stage.
Here’s the nuance - in your task, design cannot be done separately from the architecture of offline work. We need to think not just about beautiful tables, but about states without connections, synchronization queues, data conflicts, application drafts, sending statuses, and understandable errors without panic on the captain's side. Otherwise, the interface will be good on the shore but will break exactly where it should be the strongest.
I suggest we proceed as follows:
- Gather scenarios for the captain, manager, and supplier.
- Design an offline catalog, cart, price request, and mandatory confirmation that this is not a tender.
… - Create an admin panel with applications, telemetry, vessel statuses, schedules, and a supplier rating from 0 to 100.
- Think separately about a temporary supplier page without complex login - a table, prices, deadlines, a large send button.
- Add AI hints for the manager - for example, prioritizing applications, highlighting strange prices, comparing suppliers, and a brief summary of reliability.
Let me clarify two points to make the assessment more accurate:
- Is the spare parts catalog already in some database, or does it also need to be structured from scratch?
- Is telemetry from sensors already coming through a ready data exchange interface, or do we only need to design the screen part for now?
