We are updating the logo of the online store for sewing machines and other sewing equipment. However, essentially, the logo needs to be created from scratch.
To accomplish this task, a creative designer is needed.

The new logo should consist of a graphic element and text, as shown in the examples below.

Wishes regarding the graphic element:
The main candidate for the graphic element is a star, which should be creatively stylized. The graphic element may be presented in projection or dynamics if justified by aesthetics. Other objects that can also be used as a graphic element are needle and sewing machine. Possibly together with the star. Perhaps even instead of it. We are ready to consider options.
Outline style is generally acceptable, but definitely not a priority.
A mascot-style logo is also possible. However, the graphics should be as flat as possible, meaning without pseudo-shadows and reflections.
Preferred colors: yellow, orange, red, blue, green. The use of gradients is allowed if justified by aesthetics.

Wishes regarding typography:
The name of the store is "Sewstar". The text should harmonize with the graphic element and be aesthetically pleasing on its own.
If an existing font is used as a basis, it should only be under the condition of refining the kerning and providing individuality to the glyphs. The font itself should be sans-serif. The font weight should be closer to Bold or SemiBold.
Italic is possible if justified by aesthetics.
Letters can be either in lowercase or uppercase case. The use of a capital letter at the beginning is possible if justified by aesthetics.

Below are examples of logos that we DO NOT consider as options.
Logos with a template three, four, or five-pointed star. This is quite simple and can always be done.
Logos where the silhouette of the star is formed by geometric shapes or abstract graphics. Such logos lack an idea, except to create the image of some object.
Logos with an emphasis on calligraphy, including those with a star embedded in the text.

This is probably the most comprehensive and meaningful graphic design brief that this site has ever seen in its history.
For this reason, we recommend that instead of uninteresting template responses to the task, you send sketches of the logo. This will be a significant advantage. The vast majority of portfolios here did not particularly impress us. This way, you will have a real opportunity to showcase yourself and win this project, especially considering that this task will also be posted on international freelance platforms.
We do not have a deadline, so this task will be active for the maximum possible period on this platform – that is, for 14 days.
If something needs to be clarified/discussed regarding the brief, that is possible. There are no limits on questions unless they are silly.

If the performer is selected, the finished logo must be submitted in vector graphic format (.svg, .eps) or as an Illustrator project file (.ai). The logo must also pass a uniqueness check.
