"Today we will learn how to install a stretch ceiling by ourselves with two spotlights in the bathroom.
For this, we will need a DIY Ceiling kit, which contains everything necessary for self-installation.
The first step will be measuring the level of the future ceiling, taking into account the height of the lighting fixtures. For this stage, you can use a construction or laser level; for convenience, a painter's cord can be used.
Next, we attach the profile to the wall. We make a notch on the back side of the profile, starting work from the corner and installing it around the perimeter of the room.
If you have concrete walls, you need to make holes with a perforator beforehand, as was done in our case. If the walls are made of soft materials, you can drill directly with screws.
We connect the profile on straight sections. We treat the joint area with painter's tape to prevent damage to the fabric.
The next step: marking the places for the lights. We cut the required diameter from the universal platform according to the size of our light fixture. We attach the hangers to the platform and secure it to the ceiling.
We begin the installation of the stretch ceiling.
For this, we need to cut the harpoon into pieces of 15-20 cm.
We unfold the fabric and fix it on one side at several points, inserting the harpoon into the profile.
We move to the opposite side, doing the same from all sides. In sequence from the center, we stretch the fabric, inserting the harpoon, leading to the corner from the center on both sides.
To eliminate wrinkles on the fabric, it is necessary to heat the fabric with a construction or regular hairdryer and increase the tension after heating.
After the final tensioning, we cut off the excess fabric around the perimeter of the room with a construction knife.
We find and mark the places where our mounting platforms for the lights are located and glue the thermal ring using glue. We also cut an opening within the ring for the subsequent installation of the light fixture.
And the final step: installing the decorative insert into the profile. We trim its end at a 45-degree angle. Starting from the corner, we go around the perimeter of the room.
We install our lights and it's done!"
