● What needs to be done
1. Performance diagnostics:
Check the current server configuration (CPU, RAM, disk, disk type).
Verify whether the settings are incorrect or if there are simply insufficient resources.
Explain to me what exactly is causing the slowdown.
2. Windows optimization on the server:
Disable unnecessary services that load the system.
Configure autostart (to prevent junk from starting).
Clean temporary files, check disk status, CPU and RAM load.
Check for anything suspicious that is consuming resources.
3. Remote connection optimization:
Configure server access so that I do not experience lags in image/sound.
Select the correct parameters for Remote Desktop (Remote Desktop / new Windows app for connection), compression type, image quality, effects.
Disable unnecessary visual features (transparency, animations, etc.) to increase speed.
Set up connections from two different laptops (2 devices) and test.
4. Network and security:
Check network settings, latency, and bandwidth.
Check the firewall, access, users.
Ensure proper security (do not leave the default admin with a simple password).
5. Instructions for me:
Provide a brief instruction on how to properly connect to the server (via RDP or the new Windows client for remote desktop).
Login, password, IP / connection address.
Specify separately how to connect from the second laptop (what data to enter).
What to do if it suddenly starts lagging again.
● What I already have on my side
I already have a working Kamatera server with Windows.
I am already connecting to it as a remote desktop, but slowly.
It is necessary to enable connection from another laptop of mine.
I can provide access through AnyDesk / TeamViewer to my local computer so you can log into the server and check everything yourself.
I will specify which programs must remain (do not delete anything critical without me).
● Who I am looking for
Experience in administering Windows Server / remote desktops on VPS (Kamatera, Hetzner, AWS, Azure, etc.).
Understanding of RDP / Windows Remote / new Windows client optimization for remote access.
Ability to configure secure but not overly restricted access.
It would be a plus if you can manage multiple users/multiple connections.
● The result I want to achieve
The remote desktop works quickly and without constant freezes.
I can log in and work comfortably.
I can connect from two laptops.
There is an instruction on how to connect.
