Programming a Tracker on a website
Hi all,
I am a final year Master's student at Uni Vienna, Austria. Currently, my supervisor and I try to create a website that is able to collect and accumulate a user's data. To be more precise: We want to create a fake news website for an experiment that counts points assigned to articles. These points are displayed in a progress bar (Knowledge Tracker). If you need a real life example, you can have a look at sifted.eu.
Basically, the progress bar ranges from 0 to 1000 and shows how much points a user collects after having read a certain amount of articles. For this project, we need a programmer who can create the database, which will record information about the user's actions. If the programmer can find a code for a similar bar on web-services like GitHub or Stack Overflow and implement this code on our landing, that would be great. But we also support them programming a progress bar from scratch - depending on what sources are available, really.
