Look, I do not need a "rewrite for the sake of rewriting." I need a text of the same premium level as the original — in rhythm, tension, and style.
You have to rewrite it so that it reads like an absolutely new authorial script, but with the same power.
How to understand that you have done it well
Preserve the dramaturgy, not just the meaning.
In the original, there is constantly: hook → thought/fact → "break" ("everyone thinks...") → short summary by the author ("we are lucky / we are unique") → transition further.
This needs to be preserved in the rewrite.
Instead of replacing words — a complete reassembly of phrases.
Not "just rearranged the words," but rewritten differently: other metaphors, other transitions, other formulations, but the same content.
Tone — "smart mysterious friend."
Constant addresses to the viewer ("think," "ponder," "it seems to you...") + sometimes my reaction ("when I realized this...," "it hit me...," "I initially believed something else...").
Keep the pace like in a thriller.
Short paragraphs. No "wall of text." Every 5–10 sentences — either a question, or a twist, or a promise ("the most important is coming...").
After each mini-topic, you make my summary "how lucky we are."
For example:
"Okay, this is already the second lottery. And now imagine that without this — game over."
This is the key: the viewer must constantly feel that we can be truly unique in the universe.
Scientifically accurate.
If there are numbers, that's great, but do not invent them where there is no confirmation. If it's doubtful — write cautiously ("probably," "possibly," "there are estimates"). But explain simply and vividly.
How I will accept the work
If I read the first 30–60 seconds and want to keep listening — okay.
If the text sounds "rewritten" or weaker than the original — no.
In each block there must be: a hook, a "break," and my short verdict at the end.
If you want, I can also add 1 small test for the freelancer (very useful):
"Rewrite 1 page as a demo (300–500 words) — and I will immediately see the level." This sharply saves time and money.
Task: Rewrite the authorial text into a "scientific essay-thriller" for YouTube (≈5500 words)
1) Task
You need to rewrite my authorial text as qualitatively as possible so that:
it looks original (not like a cosmetic rewrite),
it becomes a script for a YouTube video in the genre of scientific essay-thriller,
The volume of work is from 4000 to 4500 words
Important: the rewrite must not be worse than the original in terms of presentation strength, rhythm, tension, and "hooks."
2) Main idea (plot)
The script is presented as an investigation by a very smart friend, where the author gradually comes to the conclusion:
life can be an extremely rare phenomenon or we may be the only ones in the Universe.
The viewer must feel throughout the video: "we may actually be unique."
3) Style and tone
Narration from the "smart and mysterious friend" (calmly, confidently, with a slight irony).
Constant addresses to the viewer: "ponder," "think," "it seems to you...," "imagine," "this is an important moment..."
The author occasionally gives personal reactions/opinions: "I initially thought...," "I was struck...," "I realized..."
The text should not sound like a lecture, but like thoughts heard from a person whom the viewer wants to listen to. In short paragraphs, without a "wall of text."
4) The most important requirement: the structure of each mini-topic
The script consists of a series of mini-topics (blocks). Each mini-topic must have 2 parts:
Main narration
Explains one fact/argument/fragment of the "investigation" (clearly and vividly) + breaks naive assumptions:
"everyone thinks that X is enough — but actually, no" and here's why.
Author's summary at the end (in a separate paragraph, 2–5 sentences)
The author briefly sums up: how lucky we are and how this enhances uniqueness.
Example of tone: "a lottery within a lottery that is inside yet another lottery," "if one point didn't match — game over."
This "summary" must be after each internal topic (so that the feeling of uniqueness does not disappear).
5) Attention retention techniques (mandatory)
Hook from the first lines.
Open loops: promised — returned after 1–2 blocks.
Micro cliffhangers at the end of paragraphs/subtopics.
Pattern interrupt: "everyone thinks... but actually..."
Rhetorical questions and "thought-provoking provocations."
6) Content anchors (what needs to be preserved)
The sense and logic must be preserved, but the formulations — new. Key themes that must be present:
"Galactic habitable zone" + risks of the center/arms + stability over time
uniqueness of the Milky Way (if used)
uniqueness of the Sun (stability, parameters) / problem of binary stars
role of gas giants (Jupiter as a factor in system architecture)
uniqueness of the Moon and its consequences (tides, stabilization, etc.)
rare evolutionary "jumps" (replicator, mitochondria)
rarity of intelligence
critique/alternative block: show honesty (but maintain tension)
7) Requirements for "originality"
Complete paraphrase: different rhythm, different metaphors, different transitions, without copying sentences.
Do not do "synonymization." A reassembly of the text is needed so that it reads as new.
If there are specific quotes — leave them briefly and appropriately.
8) Scientific accuracy
Do not invent numbers/facts. If the data is disputed — write cautiously ("there are estimates," "it is suggested").
Explain simply, without pseudoscience.
9) Submission format
Google Docs / Word.
Markup with headings: Block 1, Block 2, etc.
Short paragraphs.
If desired, inserts for editing: [SPEAKING HEAD] [VOICEOVER]. preferably make 25-25% speaking head and 75-85% voiceover

The work is accepted if:
