Development of a logo for a T-shirt

Technical specifications for t-shirt design (considering printing house requirements)

Project goal:

Develop a print-ready design layout for a t-shirt. The design should include:

• A large logo on the back (shoulders area),

• A logo on the chest (left, over the heart),

• The USA flag on the right sleeve.

1. Format and technical requirements

File formats:

• Mandatory: .ai, .eps, .pdf (vector formats — priority)

• Additional: .png, .svg, .jpeg (for preview/viewing)

Background:

• No background / transparent background. White background is not printed — background should not be part of the image.

Printing colors:

• Maximum 7 colors
  Design uses only colors from the printer's palette:

✅ Proposed colors (can be changed):
– Black
– White
– Red
– Royal Blue
– Light Gray
– Navy
– Metallic Silver

(Or choose Multi-color printing if the logo contains photo or gradient — this affects the cost)

2. Element placement

2.1 Large logo (back, shoulders)

• Size: 25–30 cm wide

• Placement: center of the back, closer to the top (shoulders)

• Format: vector (.AI or .PDF), with transparent background

• Colors: maximum 7 from the palette

2.2 Small logo (left chest, over the heart)

• Size: 8–10 cm wide

• Placement: on the left chest

• Format: vector

• Colors: same as main logo

2.3 USA flag (right sleeve)

• Size: 6–8 cm wide

• Placement: center of the right sleeve

• Orientation: stars on the left (like a waving flag)

• Colors: full color (if Multi-color printing is available, otherwise adapted to 7 colors)

3. Mockup visualization

• Preview: mockup on a t-shirt template (front, back, side views with element placement)

• T-shirt color: [specify — black, white, gray, etc.]

4. Final files from designer:

• Vector files of all elements separately: .AI, .PDF, .EPS

• PNG files with transparent background

• Preview mockup (JPG or PDF) with the design on the t-shirt
  
  
  P.S  Almost finished design is available, only needs to be adapted for printing and small logo correction on the front.
