You work in one of the programs that allow you to create complex volumetric 3D curved surfaces (for example: SolidWorks, Catia, Siemens NX, Inventor, Maya, Rhinoceros, Autodesk, polygonal modeling in 3d max, Modo, Cinema 4D, and so on). It would be good if you had experience / worked with creating complex volumetric 3D curved surfaces using splines or other options. Ideally, if you worked not in one, but in several programs, so that you could write about the advantages and disadvantages. But one is also acceptable.
It is necessary to describe the capabilities of specific programs, their advantages and disadvantages. Not just copy the help, but spend a couple of hours analyzing and writing the essence.
Main initial data. There is a pipe consisting of two sections (straight pipe and elbow (bend)). The outer surface of the pipe remains smooth, as if manufactured at the factory. The inner surface has undergone corrosion over the years and now represents, let's say, a complex curved surface like a "lunar landscape." The thickness was measured at different sections and at 360 degrees with a fine step (fine step, both in sections and in rotation by 360). High accuracy of 0.01mm. The method of measurement and whether it can be trusted is not important for you. It is assumed that the measurements were accurate.
We need to choose software that can create this surface. Currently, we are only talking about choosing software.
Feature of splines or other methods. The measurements are precise - the surface must pass exactly through the specified/adjusted points.
It is necessary to be able to change the surface between measurement points using the options of one or another method. This means making the wall of the pipe slightly thicker/thinner between measurement points (the measured points must be maintained, and between them, there is "creative freedom within reason" - sometimes you need to make the pipe wall thicker, sometimes thinner).
The budget for one program is approximately 500 - 1,000 hryvnias. Please write how many programs you can describe. Perhaps the task will be given to several people. It is unlikely that anyone is proficient in all major programs.
