Email template designer for a SaaS project
We are a product IT company that develops SaaS solutions for businesses. Currently, we are actively developing email marketing and implementing a new design system. For this, we need an experienced designer who can help create a unified visual style for all our communications with clients.
Key project goal:
To develop 8 universal and flexible email templates based on our new design system. The templates should be visually appealing, display flawlessly on all devices, support dark mode, and enhance our audience's engagement.
Tasks and expected results:
1. Design 8 master templates for different communication scenarios:
Welcome series: a welcome email for new users.
Promo newsletter: a template for announcing promotions, discounts, and special offers.
News digest / Product update: an email to inform clients about new features, blog articles, or company news.
Transactional emails (2-3 options): for system messages such as registration confirmation, password reset, payment notifications.
Reactivation email: to bring back inactive users.
Template for announcing a webinar or event: with a clear structure and call to action.(The final list of templates may be adjusted in collaboration with the marketer).
2. Create an email UI kit:
Develop a set of ready-made components in Figma (or another editor) based on the overall design system: buttons (primary, secondary), icons, banners, text styles, spacing, product cards, and other elements for quickly assembling new emails.
3. Ensure technical requirements:
Responsiveness: the design must be fully responsive and display correctly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Support for dark mode: templates should look good in both light and dark themes of email clients.
Ideal candidate:
Has proven experience in designing email templates (at least 2 years), especially for IT/SaaS products.
Proficient in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD at a high level.
Understands the specifics of email design: layout limitations, the importance of a "mobile-first" approach.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and meets deadlines.
