Думаю, что автор справедливо считает, что приводить программу реализации алгоритма сортировки слиянием на других языках не имеет большого смысла. Возможно в попытке разобраться самостоятельно нашел чью то реализацию.
Вопрос очевидно в помощи разобраться, пояснении как это работает с точки зрения алгоритма и разбор конкретного примера с попутным пояснением синтаксиса и сути низкоуровневых комманд mov, cmp, jxx, loop и их особенностей.
Наличие чужого кода на другом языке в контексте этого конкретного задания вряд-ли применим или имеет значение по сути задачи.

Я к преподу 5 раз ходил с алгоритмом копирования символов из участка памяти А в участок памяти В - то нужно скопировать, то нужно перенести, то нужно смещение сделать, то отсортировать. Так что ТЗ не всегда отражает желаемый алгоритм, а вот готовый кусок кода (не важно на каком языке) четко отражает необходимый алгоритм.
