Hi,
I'm Tetiana Marketing Automation. I work with GHL and mailing. I try to help you.
Because:
Big players like AT&T and Comcast have migrated email systems to Yahoo’s infrastructure.
This causes more bounced emails and higher risk of “dark inboxes” (inactive accounts with full storage).
Every bounce hurts your sender reputation (compared to a credit score system).
My tip 1 — Domain Isolation
Don’t send bulk campaigns from your main domain.
Instead, create a subdomain (e.g. mg.brand.com) to protect your primary brand domain from reputation damage.
Configure reply-to email to route back to your main address.
Even Microsoft has aligned with this subdomain best practice.
My tip 2 — DNS Authentication Records
Properly configure MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
These authenticate your email as trustworthy to inbox providers.
Without this foundation, even valuable emails can land in spam.
My tip 3 — List Cleaning & Spam Traps
Never migrate dirty lists (with bounces/unsubscribes) from a platform like ActiveCampaign into GoHighLevel or another ESP.
It instantly damages domain reputation.
Always run lists through verification tools (NeverBounce, Kickbox).
Beware of spam traps (fake addresses placed by ISPs to catch senders with bad hygiene).
My tip 4 — Warm-Up Strategy
Don’t use 3rd‑party automated warm-up tools (they leave digital footprints).
Instead, set up a drip sequence:
send to a small batch (e.g., 200 per day),
space them randomly,
gradually increase volume.
This simulates natural sending patterns and helps IP/domain reputation grow slowly and healthily.
My tip 5 — Engagement & Sunset Policy
This is the most important tip. Sending emails only to engaged contacts is critical.
If people ignore your emails, inbox providers assume your content is unwanted, and future emails go to spam.
Use a sunset workflow:
Move disengaged contacts to a separate flow.
Send “win-back” or re-engagement emails.
If no response → remove them entirely.
This prevents dragging down your overall deliverability.
I know Free Tools mentioned:
- domain tools
- contact Analyzer for cleaning/diagnostics.
- Chrome extensions that help with list/record analysis.
