Marketing Lead (Contract or Equity) — Web Product
The role
I built a web product and I'm looking for someone strong in marketing to help me take it from “it works” to “people actually use it.” This is a hands-on role where you'll shape the go-to-market plan, run experiments, and turn early traction into repeatable growth.
You can join either as a paid contractor or take an equity-heavy route if you want to build long-term value together.
What you'll do
Turn the product into a clear story that makes sense in a few seconds, then translate that landing into pages, messaging, and campaigns.
Set up and run acquisition experiments across channels like SEO, content, communities, partnerships, and paid ads if it makes sense.
Build a simple funnel that you can measure end to end, then improve it with iteration, not guesses.
Create and manage basic marketing assets like landing page copy, onboarding emails, and lightweight sales collateral.
Talk to users and prospects to learn what resonates, what confuses them, and what actually drives conversion.
Help with pricing, packaging, and positioning, including how we present value vs alternatives.
Build a repeatable workflow for publishing content and launches (Product Hunt-style launches, newsletters, social posts, or niche communities).
Coordinate with me on product changes that improve activation and retention, not just traffic.
What I'm looking for
You've marketed a web product before and you know what “good” looks like in messaging, funnels, and growth loops.
You're comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks, and you can explain why you're doing something.
You know how to validate channels quickly and move on when something isn't working.
You can write strong copy that's simple, specific, and not hypey.
You can work independently, keep momentum, and communicate clearly with a developer.
Bonus if you've done early-stage go-to-market for SaaS, marketplaces, developer tools, or B2B products.

Equity: Smaller cash component (or none) with meaningful ownership, for someone who wants to build long-term.
