Over the past time, the cases of unjustified arrest of the car have significantly increased by the police, including to clarify the driver’s data, so who has the right to stop your car?Remember, to stop the vehicle “simply so” or because it was desired, it was prohibited.In contact with the police, we advise:

1 .The police may stop the vehicle in the event of:
1) if the driver has violated the road rules;
2) if there are obvious signs indicating the technical failure of the vehicle;
3) if there is information indicating the involvement of the driver or passengers of the vehicle in the committing of a road-transport accident, criminal or administrative offence, or if there is information indicating that the vehicle or cargo may be the object or order of the committing of a road-transport accident, criminal or administrative offence;
4) if the vehicle is in search;
5) if it is necessary to investigate the driver or passengers on the circumstances of committing a road accident, criminal or administrative offence, whose witness they are or could be;
6) if it is necessary to involve the driver of the vehicle in providing assistance to other participants in the road or police or as a witness during the drafting of protocols on administrative offences or materials of road-transport accidents;
7) if the authorized authority of the state authority has made a decision on the restriction or prohibition of movement;
8) if the way of fixing the cargo on the vehicle creates a danger for other traffic participants;
9) violation of the order of identification and use on the vehicle of special light or sound signal devices;
10) if the stop of a vehicle, which is registered in another country, is carried out in order to identify its transfer to possession, use or disposal to persons who have not imported such a vehicle to the customs territory of Ukraine or have not placed in the customs regime of transit;
11) if there is information that indicates that the driver or passenger of the vehicle is a person who has freely left a place for detention of prisoners.It is important!In accordance with Article 35 of the National Police Act, the police is obliged to inform the driver of the specific reason for the stop of the vehicle with a detailed description of the grounds for the stop defined in this article.+ Contacts
