А пульт при этом дублирует кнопки или его нужно исключить? Еще очень рекомендую добавить датчик препятствий для предотвращения травм.

а что это за датчик такой?
я так понимаю можно просто поставить токовый датчик на каждый мотор и завести его на ацп. и откалибровать для нормальной работы порог срабатывания.

"токовый датчик на каждый мотор и завести его на ацп" - к сожалению инерции створки ворот будет достаточно чтобы нанести травму до момента фиксации превышения допустимого тока. (тем более ворота поворотные, а не раздвижные).

За инфракрасный датчик препятствий я думал добавить на пульте 4 кнопки на приёмнике вывод на каждую кнопку свой пин подходит на ардуино
