Development of marker-based AR with a 3D model
We are looking for a specialist in 3D modeling and AR to implement an interactive project.
It is necessary to create a 3D model of an object and set it up for display in augmented reality (AR) when the smartphone camera is pointed at a printed banner. As a result, the user should see the 3D model over the banner through their device's camera.
We are attaching a layout of the banner that will be used as a marker to launch the AR content, as well as examples of the desired result.
Technical skills
- Image tracking / marker AR — experience in binding 3D content to a marker image
- WebAR stack: 8th Wall, MindAR, AR.js or Zappar (preferably, if we want to avoid app installation — the user scans the banner through the browser)
- Or native stack: Unity + Vuforia, ARKit (iOS) / ARCore (Android) — if we plan a separate app
- 3D modeling and asset preparation: Blender / Maya / 3ds Max
- Optimization for mobile/web: low-poly, formats glTF/GLB, textures, draw calls, light baking
Additional skills
- Animation of 3D models (rigging, skeletal animation)
- JavaScript / Three.js (for WebAR)
- C# (for Unity)
- UX understanding of AR scenarios (how the user points the camera, fallback in case of poor tracking)
Collaboration format
- For a one-time task (one banner + one model) — freelancer/contractor, not a full-time position
- We will consider portfolios specifically with marker-based AR (video demo of scanning a real object), not just 3D renders

1168 7 0 Good day! We have experience in developing AR solutions based on Vuforia and Unity. We implement this through the integration of 3D models with optical marker recognition, which will ensure stable tracking and correct display of the object on the banner. We are ready to discuss the details of the technical task to achieve the best visual result.
