Про проект:
It is a software application designed to help electrical engineers design electric grid networks for utility companies to deliver electricity to consumers. The software is used by over 150 utility companies and nearly 50 engineering firms for this purpose on a worldwide basis, with most usage emanating from the United States.
The software has its development roots in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania where other types of advanced network-based software has been designed and developed for the utility and pipeline market. It has been on the market for over 25 years with its chief software engineer at the helm through most of this period.
It is a “fat client” style of application and requires installation on an engineer’s PC. It has no web or cloud delivery capability and no long term (1-5 year) strategic plan. The development team currently operates on a monthly release cycle. It is written in C++ on a MS Windows platform. It does not support any OS outside of Microsoft Windows.
