Creation and design of the catalog
Technical task for creating a catalog
- General task
It is necessary to create a single electronic product catalog (with the possibility of further printing), combining several existing materials into one document.
- Source materials
There are 3 catalogs:
• 2 ready catalogs - they need to be inserted and adapted to a single style
• 1 catalog - needs to be redesigned to fit the new overall design
- What needs to be done
3.1 Merging:
• Merge all 3 catalogs into one file
• Align: fonts, colors, indents, formatting style
As a result, the catalog should look like a single cohesive product, not assembled from different parts.
3.2 Add new sections:
• Table of contents (at the beginning of the catalog), manual navigation through sections, concise and clear design
• About the company, format a block with text (text will be provided) Icons, photos, highlights
• Section “Brackets” (our products), format as a full catalog: product photos, short descriptions. Add a nice selling description for the section (can include icons/highlights)
4. Style and design
• All design - in a single corporate style.
• Focus on: existing brand materials, company colors, logo (brand book will be provided)
Important: modern look, simplicity, conciseness, readability, without overload
5. Format
• Main format: electronic catalog (PDF)
• But considering for print: correct indents, margins, image quality
6. Volume
• Total number: 50-60 pages
7. Result
The designer must provide:
• finished PDF catalog
• source file (Figma / Illustrator / InDesign - to be agreed)
